| Explosion at Chevron facility in Delta State |
Chevron
Nigeria has yet been greeted with another lit explosion in the early hours of
Friday. This explosion occurred at the Makaraba line located in Warri South LGA
of Delta State.
The Makaraba line had been abandoned before yesterday’s
explosion since last week’s attack on the offshore Okan manifold.
The
company had in the last few weeks recorded several attacks on its
installations, for which the new militant group Niger Delta Avengers claimed
responsibility.
The
militant group has gone dark following strengthened efforts from government security
agencies to annihilate them and has hence remained silent of Friday’s
explosion.
